Features on checkout are unavailable on non-Plus plans

Some features in Duos B2B rely on Shopify's Checkout Extensibility — a native Shopify capability that is only available on Shopify Plus. If your store is on a Basic, Grow, or Advanced plan, the following features will not be active:

  • Block checkout by customer permissions — prevents buyers from completing checkout if they do not have the required permission role assigned.

  • Block checkout by available credit limit — prevents buyers from placing orders that exceed their assigned credit limit at checkout.

These features will appear as disabled. No action is required on your end.

What still works on non-Plus plans

This limitation only affects checkout-level enforcement. All other features remain fully available:

For customer permissions:

  • Buyers can still create, edit, and delete team members

  • Permission-based restrictions on actions across the app remain fully enforced, including Quote Request, Quick Order (CSV & SKU), and Shopping List

  • Only the ability to block a Junior Buyer from completing checkout is unavailable on non-Plus plans

For credit limit:

  • Assigning and editing credit limits per company

  • Increasing or decreasing limits based on order activity

  • Credit tracking and reporting

Why this happens

Shopify restricts access to Checkout Extensibility — the technology that allows apps to add logic inside the checkout flow — to Shopify Plus stores only. This is a Shopify platform constraint, not a Duos B2B limitation.

Want to enable these features?

Upgrade your store to Shopify Plus to unlock full checkout enforcement capabilities. Once upgraded, both features will become available in your Duos B2B settings automatically.
